Brown Rice Energy Balls

This recipe was originally designed for 10 people. Amended serving sizes for 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 people are intended to serve as general guidance only. Cooking times may need to be adjusted to suit your amended serving size.
  • 5 cup Hinode Brown Rice (Medium Grain Calrose) (cooked)

  • 3⅓ cup Coconut Flakes (toasted)

  • 2½ cup Nut Butter

  • 2½ cup Flaxseed (ground)

  • 1¼ cup Chocolate Chips

  • 1⅔ cup Honey

  • 1⅔ cup Chopped Nuts

  • 1¼ cup Dried Fruit

  • 5 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 5 tsp Ground Cinnamon

Brown Rice

Retaining all the goodness of Mother Nature, the nutritious bran layer of brown rice is not removed at milling, giving brown rice its nutty flavour and firmer texture.

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl until thoroughly mixed.

  • Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  • Wet your hands and form into small balls, a little smaller than your palm. Rice balls will be sticky.

  • Store in refrigerator or freezer for best consistency. You can wrap them individually and grab one at a time for a snack on the go.
