Ingredients to serve:

  • 2 cup cooked HINODE Long Grain Rice (white or brown, cooked)

  • 2 cup Water

  • tbsp Sushi Vinegar

  • Seaweed Sheets (quartered)

  • 1 Cucumber (seeded and thinly sliced lengthwise)

  • 4 oz Smoked Salmon (thinly sliced)

  • tbsp Wasabi

  • ¼ cup Japanese Soy Sauce

  • tbsp Pickled Ginger (optional)

Long Grain

White long grain rice is your go to grain for a versatile dish. It has long, slender grains, that when cooked, remain separate. This results in a light and fluffy rice that absorbs the flavours of your cooking. It is the perfect partner to a stir-fry, casserole or a stew.

Method

  • Prepare Hinode Medium Grain or Short Grain Rice per package instructions.

  • Let rice sit, covered, 10 minutes after steaming is complete.

  • Sprinkle sushi vinegar over rice, slicing through rice with wooden spoon to break up lumps and distribute the vinegar evenly.

  • Cover with damp cloth to stop the rice from drying out.
