This recipe was originally designed for 4 people. Amended serving sizes for 1, 2, 6, and 8 people are intended to serve as general guidance only. Cooking times may need to be adjusted to suit your amended serving size.
  • 4 cup Hinode Long Grain White Rice

  • 4 tbsp Oil

  • 4 Eggs (lightly beaten)

  • 2 tsp Garlic (crushed)

  • 2 Onion (chopped)

  • 4 small red chilis (finely chopped)

  • 1 lb Chicken (diced)

  • 1 lb pork fillet (diced)

  • 8 cup combined chopped vegetables: red bell pepper, beans, mushrooms

  • 4 tbsp Soy Sauce

  • 4 tbsp Tomato Paste

White long grain rice is your go to grain for a versatile dish. It has long, slender grains, that when cooked, remain separate. This results in a light and fluffy rice that absorbs the flavours of your cooking. It is the perfect partner to a stir-fry, casserole or a stew.

Method

  • Cook Hinode rice per package instructions.

  • Heat 1 tsp. of oil in wok or frying pan, spread eggs in a thin layer and cook until just set, 1 - 2 minutes. Remove and cool. Roll egg into omelet and slice thinly.

  • Heat remaining oil, garlic, onion, chili, chicken and pork. Cook until tender, 7 - 8 minutes.

  • Add egg, vegetables, rice, soy sauce and tomato paste and sauté until heated through, 4-5 minutes and serve.
