Ingredients to serve:

This recipe was originally designed for 4 people. Amended serving sizes for 1, 2, 6, and 8 people are intended to serve as general guidance only. Cooking times may need to be adjusted to suit your amended serving size.
  • 4 cup uncooked Hinode Hapa Blend Calrose Rice

  • 2 oz tsukadani nori

  • 8 oz Umeboshi (ume) or Pickled Plum

  • 20 sheet nori/seaweed

Method

  • Prepare Hinode Hapa Blend Calrose rice per package instructions.

  • Use musubi mold or plastic wrap to form rice balls in desired shapes. If forming by hand, wet fingers with water before handling rice.

  • Press ume or tsukadani into center of rice ball.

  • Cut nori sheets as desired to wrap outside of rice ball.

  • Sprinkle with furikake and serve.
