Hinode BBQ Sticky Rice—3 Ways

This recipe was originally designed for 2 people. Amended serving sizes for 1, 4, 6, and 8 people are intended to serve as general guidance only. Cooking times may need to be adjusted to suit your amended serving size.
  • 1 cup uncooked Hinode Calrose white rice

  • 20 oz BBQ Sauce

  • ½ cup Water, plus more if necessary

  • tbsp Sriracha Sauce

  • tbsp Brown Sugar and 1/4 Cup Honey

  • Garlic Cloves and 1/2 a diced Onion

Method

  • Mix BBQ sauce and your choice of Spicy, Sweet, or Garlic ingredients in a bowl.

  • Spray slow cooker with non-stick spray or line with a slow cooker liner. Place rice, BBQ sauce mix, and water into slow cooker and stir to combine.

  • Set slow cooker to high and cook for 2-3 hours, stirring halfway through. If rice appears dry and has not started puffing up, add another 1/4 cup of water.
